ORTHOSIS FOR STABILIZATION OF THE UPPER AND LOWER ANKLE

Indications

Non-surgical treatment of severe ankle injuries
Post-operative protection after ligamental suturing / reconstruction
Chronic instability of the upper and / or lower ankle where surgery is contraindicated
Post-traumatic sinus tarsi syndrome and decompensated instability of the subtalar joint, also as temporary stabilization aid

Features

The anatomically contoured plastic shell can be reshaped thermoplastically as required. The inside of the orthosis‘ lateral shell is covered with a soft anti-fatigue cushion for enhanced wearing comfort.
The anatomically contoured Velcro straps ensure that it is quick and easy to put on and guarantee extra comfort.
The orthosis can be worn round the clock, as a support splint in normal shoes during the day and as a postural splint, without shoes, at night.

Mode of Action

CaligaLoc prevents abnormal load situations in the upper and, to a certain extent, lower ankle.
The integrated pronation wedge takes the strain off the lateral malleolar ligaments and has a stabilizing effect that counteracts supination.
